Travel Safety Essentials

State department puts forth warnings  on country safety concerns and risks in some areas within countries that don’t have country wide alerts or warnings. Sometimes, it takes a compelling investigative report to warrant actions.

Good on Raquel Rutledge, Sentinel, for her deep seated expose on risks of tainted alcohol at prestigious all inclusive Mexican resorts where tourist often wake up loopy with bruises, robbed and even assaulted. Some tourists never awaken, they die.

Good on the State Department for taking less than a week to herald a warning around the world about Mexican all inclusive resorts who are victimizing tourists.

Stay abreast of safety concerns by reading local news and paying attention to State Department warnings and alerts.  Every traveler should register at step.state.gov to stay informed.

Having reputable travel insurance is another lifeline. Stay tuned for Travel HERO Safety Certification. You can register here.
