Transforming Students into Global Citizens with Super Travel Safety Skills: An Introduction to Travel Heroes Safety Training by Depart Smart
In this presentation, Depart Smart founder and travel safety expert Sheryl Hill teaches you how to improve travel safety for yourself, your students, and your program. Most students and faculty don’t know what to do when travel goes wrong. In the event of civil unrest, accidents or a natural disaster, do you and your students have an evacuation plan to get to safety? If they experience assault, serious injury, illness, arrests, or theft while abroad, will they know where to go and how to get help on their own? Make sure trips overseas are ones they’ll want to remember and grow the reputation and experience of your study abroad program.
When: 10:00am – 11:00am Sunday August 11, 2019
Where: Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in the East Meeting Rooms D-M
